Once you’ve identified a suitable position(s), it takes about 10 minutes to complete the candidate profile and application form if you have your cover letter and resume or CV ready for upload.

We’ll let you know when we receive your information via email. If your qualifications match what we’re looking for, we’ll call you to discuss your CV or resume in more detail. If selected, you will be contacted by a member of our recruiting team to schedule an interview, typically within one to two weeks.

After completing an initial phone screen or short meet and greet, if you advance through the process, you may meet with several team members and see the work environment. The interviews may consist of a mix of behavioral and technical interviews, in addition to testing relative to the position. You may also be selected to meet the hiring manager, who can provide you with more information about your potential responsibilities.

During the interview process, we’d like to hear about you as an individual and learn about your relevant work experience. You can ask us about the role, our expectations and any other pertinent employment questions. We’ll both get to know each other and determine if we could work well together and if you’re likely to succeed at Berntson Porter.

After your interview, you will be notified of your status as quickly as possible. Since we are recruiting multiple candidates and coordinating with various team members, this may take a few weeks. Contact your recruiter if you have any questions during this time- they’re a great resource!

When an offer of employment is accepted, we conduct a background check. For details about our screening process, please contact your recruiter.

At the end of the process, we’ll make you a formal offer in writing. You’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions and, if you’re happy with the offer, we look forward to receiving your confirmation and welcoming you to the team.

Once you’ve started with the firm, you’ll participate in our orientation program which will help you get acquainted with how we work at BP.

Our internship program is a chance for you to learn about BP and for us to learn more about you. The internships are generally about three months in duration. The winter internships start in January and the summer internships start in May or June. Learn more about our internships.
